Social knitting provides benefits for both mental and physical well-being, fostering community and connection while offering skill development and a sense of accomplishment. Participants have reported feeling reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood, and a sense of belonging in the supportive library environment. Knitting also improves fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
